Principal Accountabilities
1. As a thermal & Gas turbine engineer you will provide expert advice on the selection of Gas turbine, HRSG and their auxiliaries.
2. You will apply the standards for project specifications and contractor’s activities on thermal & Gas turbine engineering therefore you are expected to have good Knowledge on codes and standards (like ASME, API, ISO, PTC etc..)
3. You will verify the design integrity of work carried out by Engineering contractors to ensure that the proposed solutions are technically sound and meet reliability, operability and maintainability requirements.
4. You will provide support during the fabrication, testing, installation and commissioning of the HRSG and Gas Turbine and conduct shop and field acceptance testing.
5. You will participate in the development of the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up plans for HRSG, Gas turbine and their auxiliaries.
6. You will support maintenance and operational staff and you’ll be expected to participate in teams to troubleshoot customer issues and conduct field performance tests.
7. You will work with a diverse range of suppliers, internal departments and will have to maintain contacts with vendors and operating units to optimise the design of equipment through application of best practices.

11. Staff Development: Thermal & Stem Turbine engineering coaching and development of Omani Engineers.
Requirements
• Degree in mechanical engineering (MSc in thermal power would be preference)
• Minimum 7 years experience (Omanis), 8 years experience (expatriates) in cogeneration or/and combined cycle power generation plants.
• Skills on conceptual, front end and detailed design.
• Sound capabilities in HRSG and Gas turbine design engineering, construction and maintenance & operation.
